Hip pain when balancing on one leg
 can be due to the increased compression through the joint and weight transference. Balancing on one leg takes greater proprioception control and therefore any weaknesses, stiffness or swelling can create the hip pain.

Also due to the greater hip joint compression and altered dynamics and hip joint injury could cause the pain when on one leg. Injuries with this symptom are listed below:
