Resistance Band Wrist Extension Exercise

Wrist extension exercises are useful after wrist injuries such as sprains and fractures, as well as in treating tennis elbow.

Teaching Points

  • Sit down on a chair and fix one end of the band under your foot.
  • Wrap the other end around your hand and rest your forearm on your thigh.  
  • Keeping the forearm flat on the thigh, pull the wrist back.  
  • Slowly return to the starting position.

  • Extensor Digitorum Communis.  
  • Extensor Carpi Radialis Brevis.
  • Extensor Carpi Radialis Longus.
  • Extensor Carpi Ulnaris.

  • Wrist extension with a dumbbell.
