Resistance Band Plantarflexion Exercise
Plantarflexion is the ankle movement of pointing the foot downwards. This exercise strengthens the calf muscles.
Teaching Points
- Wrap the band around your mid foot.
- Hold the ends of the band in your hands.
- Start with the foot pointed upwards and the band taught.
- Point your foot away from you against the resistance.
- Slowly return to the starting position and repeat.

- Gastrocnemius.
